Catching Up!

Well it's been awhile since I posted!

We have upgraded from crib to toddler bed! Mason is doing great with it! We have been using the Teach My Toddler kit, he likes the First Words set the best! Knows almost all the words when we ask what they are, but still calls the truck and car too. LOL

Mason knows alot of body parts! He is super excited to say and point to his nose, eyes, ears, teeth, hair and toes!

I gotta take a video of him learning to jump, it's the cutest thing!

Teach my Baby

Well I found something for my Toddler! Yep, it's called Teach my Baby by Christy Cook. I choose the Teach my Baby for 6-18 months old. Mason is only 16 months and I thought the Teach my Toddler would be alittle to much right now - We will get that one when he turns 2.

So I ordered the Teach My Baby and it's on it's way to my home! I can't wait to get it!

Right now, Mason is really good at pointing at his eyes, nose, ear and mouth when asked where they are! So I think this will help out alot more!

Operation Day 1 - Binky Removal

Don't know if I'm ready for this or not....

Mason isn't one of those kids who walk around with his binky all day, but he does feel he needs it at nap and bed times. Plus he's getting alot of teeth now and starting to talk more, and don't want a Binky to interfere with those things.

I looked up lot of ideas online and seen this site: Bye-Bye-Binky.com

So today I took only 2 of this pacifiers and poked several small holes into them, and at nap time this morning, he was so funny! He could not figure out what was wrong with them. He never cried and fell asleep peacefully even though the pacifier was alittle different.

Just hope the rest of the week goes as smoothly!

Boy oh Boy! I got some catching up to do on this Blog...

Well my little boy turned 1, March 8th, he had a great time at his party got lots of gifts and loved the cake!

He had a great time opening gifts and eating cake, which was everywhere! Don't know how it was in his diaper though... LOL

The kids even played alittle frog game.

This was the invitations that I made for his Birthday, I loved how they came out! When you pull on the Frogs tongue it has all the info for the party!

And in other NEWS, Mason is WALKING! Wahoo, we are so excited it was a few days after his birthday he started to walk! He's going everywhere now!

This month on the 13th, AJ and I will be married for 9 years! Wow, it's amazing how time flies.

Alot of teeth!

Mason turned 10 months old on the 8th of January, and he has 6 teeth (2 on bottom and 4 on top) but now he's getting more, looks like more coming in up top! He keeps chewing on those fingers.... LOL

Mason was 19.5 lbs at his 9 month check up, I'm sure he's hit the 20 pound mark now!

My little boy turned 10 months old Saturday, he's growing so fast! Today for lunch we had mac & cheese and I let him feed himself with the spoon! Well I loaded the spoon with noodles and laid it on his plate and he put the spoon in his mouth. He tried to get more noodles but he just flung them across the kitchen... LOL So I had to clean up noodles off the wall... LOL

My little boy is 9 months old (40 weeks)! I truly can't believe it, I still remember the day he was born like it was yesterday. He's learning so much and such a joy to have around, don't know what I did before he came along....

Well for Halloween we dressed Mason up as a Skunk, because well he's our little stinker!!!

We had a hay ride at the Fall Fun Day! Mason is just like daddy!

My little boy will be 6 months old on the 8th of this month, I can't believe how time flies by.

He is trying his hardiest to crawl, but can't yet figure it out. He can sit up by himself for alittle bit, but then falls over... He loves taking 4-wheeler rides with his daddy, and now makes the Vroom -Vroom sounds, which are SO CUTE!

Today I’m participating in Show Us Your Life at Kelly’s Korner.
Today’s topic is: Your Kid's (or future kid's) names

Well when my husband and I found out that we were expecting I couldn't wait to find out what we were having! But I wanted to pick out a name for a boy and girl before we found out. A boy's name.... well that was easier than the girls name.

AJ always said if we ever had a boy he wanted the middle name to be Colt. Which is after Samuel Colt - the first man to invent a gun. I looked through baby name books and everything and AJ and I couldn't agree on a first name that we both really liked. So one day I did some research on Samuel Colt - I found that William Mason was a machinist and inventor working for Samuel Colt, will I love the name Mason! So that's how we came up with Colt Mason Nichols, we call our son Mason.

A girl's name, not easy at all! AJ and I didn't agree on any name for a girl! Until the day before the ultrasound.... I called AJ and said I thought of a perfect name for a girl! AJ said well what is it? I said Reagan Lynn! AJ said I like it! But now I picked out a different name for a girl if that's what we get the next time....

1. Did you pass your driver's test on the first try?
Yes, I did! I still remember taking the test, I had a women police officer who I did the driving part with - which she looked liked she was in a bad MOOD the whole time. So when she said "You Passed" I was like really? LOL

2. What is your most embarrassing moment?
Well if I must tell you, it just happened recently! It's the sleep deprived mommy moments, which I am sure there will be more! I had to go the store for bread about a week ago, and I was getting the baby "Mason" ready to go, and I thought I had everything so out the door I went. Well when I got to the store, I got out got Mason out and walked in, and just then I realized that I still had my house slippers on! Yep, I wore my slippers into the store, lucky no one really paid attention to my feet! LOL But when I think about it, I still get a laugh!

3. What TV show would you like to be on- Oprah, Biggest Loser, or What Not to Wear?
Biggest Loser, hands down!

4. Would you ever get plastic surgery and what kind?
Hmm, I don't think I will ever get plastic surgery. I'm to afraid that the doctors would make a mistake!!

5. What are your favorite jeans to wear?
Right now, it's still my comfy maternity jeans! LOL

He's almost here! We had our final ultrasound yesterday at 37 weeks and Colt "Mason" is weighing 6lbs and 15oz! Doctor said it could be any day now or maybe a couple of weeks! I am so ready!!! Below is a picture of our handsome little guy!

24 Weeks Pregnant!

How Big is the Baby at 24 Weeks Pregnant?

During pregnancy week 24 your baby is now more than one pound (1.3 pounds) and is about 12 inches long! As you track your pregnancy week by week from this point out your baby will resemble a tiny albeit complete little human being!

Your Baby's Growth and Development
Your baby continues to grow more proportional each and every day. During pregnancy week 24 her organ systems continue to mature as do the central nervous system, digestive system and even reproductive and circulatory systems. During a pregnancy at 24 weeks your baby's lungs are also starting to form little branches and will eventually start producing a substance called surfactant which happens closer to the time your baby's lungs start maturing. The amniotic fluid surrounding your baby begins to increase in volume after about pregnancy 24 weeks. This continues until delivery when your uterus will hold up to 2 pints of amniotic fluid.

Changes in You

Your baby has less and less room to move in your womb after you are about 24 weeks pregnant. You should be feeling strong kicks by 24 weeks pregnant, but gradually your baby's movements will start to seem slower and more rhythmic rather than all over the place. This is perfectly normal.

Though your babies first kicks and movements will seem random, gradually your baby will be kicking regularly. You should notice patterns of wakefulness and sleeping throughout the day. Enjoy each and every moment you have to enjoy your baby's gymnastics. It may seem hard to believe but you will miss the feeling of your baby moving around inside of you once you give birth.

Well I kind-of live in the backwoods, and as soon as it starts to get cold we start getting mice! However, we might catch maybe 4-6 throughout the winter months. However this morning I heard something like mice, and thought "Oh NO" it's that time again to set out the DCon! But this morning was alittle different, our dog Buster kept barking at our small trash can that we have beside our computer desk. Yesterday was trash day so I knew there was nothing in it cause I had just emptied it. So to reassure Buster I opened the lid and to my surprise.... I saw THIS!!!

Yep, 2 little mice... I remember that AJ was eating candy while he was the computer yesterday, there must of been some Peanut Butter left on that wrapper, those mice just couldn't resist! They also left their little droppings behind!!!

I hate mice, so since AJ is out of town... I called my Dad this morning to take care of the problem! This was our conversation!

Me: Dad, can you come over and get these mice. (I always call Dad to get mice out of our mouse traps when AJ is out of town cause I hate doing it)
Dad: Yeah, where did you catch them? (I usually say kitchen after this)
Me: They are in the trash can.
Dad: Why, did you put them in the trash can they will start to stink!
Me: I didn't put them there, that's where I caught them!
Dad: You caught dead mice in your trash can? (I can just imagine the look on his face)
Me: No, Dad they are still alive in a small trash can.
Dad: You caught a live mouse in your trash can?
Me: Yep, 2 of them.
Dad: Well you are gonna have to kill them, if you don't want them to come back in the house.
Me: How am I suppose to kill them?
Dad: You are gonna have to beat them with a stick.
Me: What? I can't do that!!
Dad: I will be over there in a few minutes....

LOL I don't know what he did, but he came and got the trash can.

LOL AJ and I aren't celebrating till next weekend, that's when we find out if we are having a boy or girl....! We now have names for both, so I can't wait!!! How your baby's growing:

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. The rapid growth spurt is tapering off, but reflexes are kicking in. It can yawn, stretch and make facial expressions, even frown. Taste buds are beginning to develop and can distinguish sweet from bitter tastes. The baby will suck if its lips are stroked and it can swallow, and even get the hiccups. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound. The retinas have become sensitive to light, so if a bright light is shined on your abdomen, baby will probably move to shield its eyes.

We find out October 23 if we are having a shopping or hunting buddy! So excited! At each doctor's appointment the baby's heartbeat is around 156-160bpm. Everything is going good so far.

Some Great News!

Well, Monday afternoon went to the doctor as scheduled, and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat! It was at 160 bpm. Which the doctor said was perfect! We find out if we are having a boy or girl on Friday, October 23! So excited!

I've started to be less tired and get more cleaning done around the house! So that is a plus, but my dishes and laudary still aren't caught up to where I would like them to be - BUT I'll get there! I've really missed scrapbooking and crafting but will hopefully get back to it soon too!

Oh, other great news AJ and I finally bought me a new car! Well it's a 2006 Honda CR-V. Which I LOVE! It's have leather heated seats, a sunroof, lots of room, a 6-disc CD changer and it's 4 wheel drive! Plus, lots of cup holders for everyone! LOL I'll post pictures of it soon!

AJ and I watched The Knowing this past weekend, we thought it was pretty good. I love Nicholas Cage movies though.. But AJ and both agreed that the ending was alittle weird cause of the space ship kind of thing.. But all in all I liked it.

This past weekend AJ and I got to watch Marley & Me, I loved it and cried twice during it! AJ however said that would be one DIED dog! LOL It's a really sweet and caring movie!

My Confessions

I secretly hate my husbands PS3 it really gets on my nerves when he plays it when there is other things to do around the house!
I cry way to easy, I cry when I hear a sad song, commercial, TV show or read a good book.
I turn up the music to full blast! When I am at home alone cleaning!
But I rarely clean our shower... LOL
When I fix mac & cheese, I eat way to much!
I worry alot about my mom's health.
I blog when I should be working - sometimes...
I have so many recipes that I want to try - but I'm to lazy on the weekends to fix them!
If you were to see my Scrapbook Room, you would think a tornado hit it!
AJ and I have been trying for 3 years to get pregnant and I wonder if it'll ever happen. But I keep praying that it does.

On May 8th, 2009, I found out I was pregnant only to find out a few days later that I would be having a miscarriage. Before this I was diagnosed with PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) which meant we would have some troubles getting pregnant.

However, this is the closest we have gotten to have baby, and I can only hope and pray that our turn for children will come soon.

I got this poem from a friend and she got it from someone else, so I have no idea who wrote it, but I really like it.... (and I believe there is more to it than this..)

Joey's Birthday & AJ's Truck

My nephew Joey celebrated his 9th Birthday this weekend!

You got icing on your nose!!!
Honestly the boy, has everything, so instead of getting him a gift this year, I'm taking him to the Newport Aquarium in June when school is out. (but I did get him a computer game too...)
OK, who gets a 9 year old a $100 bill, what do you think he'll spend it on? (JUNK)

And the only thing he really wanted for this birthday was a Gun, it's just a BB Gun, but it looks real, it was AJ's - my dad bought it off him, cause AJ don't use it anymore.

And of course he had to try it out.... ( I know some people think 9 is to young for any kind of gun, but I believe it's all in how your raised, my husband was hunting when he was 6 (so he says).

But the bad part is there is NO birds in the yard anymore.. LOL
Well AJ's truck is almost done... here it is at the start...

Almost finished.....
He's getting new tires and rims, and some steps cause I'm 5'5" and I can't even look in the side windows!

Mushroom in the yard!!

Well it's been alittle since I posted last, so here's an update..

AJ is still working on another old truck...

AJ has been Mushrooom hunting every weekend.. and has found several!

But the other day I was in the yard thinking about were to plant some flowers, and look what I saw!

And it's real, I could not believe it!! However, I did not pick it and we're waiting to see if it grows..

Well AJ and I have been married for 7 years today! We've been together for 9 years! Wow, I can't believe it! We went out to eat last night a Dakota's Steak House, and I took a pic..

We then went to Wal-Mart and got some paint samples for my living room, kitchen and bathroom that I am gonna re-paint this summer.

Did several things this weekend... Went to a Mary-Kay Party and my niece Emily, had a blast, she loves playing with makeup...

This weekend was also my husband's birthday, he turned 26 on Saturday! ( I made the cake a deer hunting theme)

I love my husband bunches! But sometimes I just want to kick him in the butt cause of all the extra money he spends on HIS TOYS...
